Eyes & Shadows is an independent photography project launched in December 2025 by Yovko Lambrev. Here, I share photos from my archives taken over the years, as well as (hopefully) many new ones yet to be shot.

Yes, this is a photoblog. And yes, I launched it long after the trend had died down and been thoroughly forgotten. But who cares. At least not the author of this website, who gave up on keeping up with 'modern' trends ages ago.

The main genres I shoot are portrait and street photography. On the street, I most often shoot from the hip with the idea of capturing an interesting moment without being noticed and having that moment fly away. Which means there is no way for me to have prior consent from the people who end up in the frame.

As a rule, I do not publish shots if, by my subjective judgment, they might put someone in an awkward or embarrassing situation. Most shots I publish several years after they were taken (most often more than 2-3 years, or even a decade). This is intentional. To put enough time between the moment of shooting and the moment of publishing.

However, if anyone recognizes themselves in one of my photos and isn't comfortable with it, they can write to me, and after proving with a selfie that it is them, I will immediately take the problematic photo down from my website.
